The most important thing is to do is the ensure that the root system is protected. Pile mulch or soil or some other insulating material around the container to keep the roots in the container from alternately freezing and thawing, which can lead to root deterioration. The colder temperatures that we are experiencing now should inhibit any bud growth, but if you already have some advanced bud development, it may also be damaged by freezing temperatures. You will likely have to do some trimming back to remove the winter damaged topgrowth after it "leafs out" in spring.
